Fundamentals

For U7-U8 players, the focus shifts to developing and improving basic skills. To prepare them for the competitive format that starts at U9, U8 kids will be introduced to playing in a 7v7 format with all the rules of the game. Matches within the club will be organized and coached to help make this a positive learning experience.

The program will be structured similarly to our CDCs, with four stations led by trained staff and supported by volunteer parents who will help manage the group of kids. Each group will rotate from one station to the next, ensuring they experience a variety of activities targeting different skills and aspects of the game.

This setup allows our coaches to concentrate on delivering high-quality coaching while ensuring the children are well-supervised and engaged. By maintaining a 1:6 staff-to-player ratio, we meet the Canada Soccer requirements, respecting the highest standard.

Each group will rotate from one station to the next, ensuring they work on age specific skills that follow the Long-term Development Plan for soccer players.

Players will be evaluated before the start of the season to determine which league they will compete in. Two more evaluations will be done during the summer to reshuffle the groups and give the chance for all the opportunity to grow and to be challenged.
